Starting a company, investing in a company and dividend updates
I haven’t been as consistent as I was last year with my posts and I can’t promise I can be. But, it’s for a good reason. Today I will talk about:
🥧 Portfolio and dividends

🥧 Portfolio and dividends
I have concentrated the portfolio into 8 securities - 6 stocks (5 dividend growth stocks, 1 “growth“ stock) and 2 ETFs.
I chose to concentrate on the portfolio because it was high time.
Valuations were in the ranges that I liked. Most of the positions I added had an upside potential of over 100% in a short time. COST 0.00%↑ is always trading at a premium.
I removed weaker companies - I had a few high dividend-yielding companies that were on the weaker side. I love my dividends but I love dividend growth companies better.
So, my new portfolio looks ASML 0.00%↑ (22.9%), U 0.00%↑ (17.1%), VICI 0.00%↑ (14.7%), SCHD 0.00%↑ (12.7%), JEPI 0.00%↑ (9.8%), AAPL 0.00%↑ (9.1%), JPM 0.00%↑ (7.1%) and COST 0.00%↑ (6.7%)
📬 A new company
I always say, but I might be wrong, that a person in their life comes up with few good ideas and it’s when they need to work hard to execute them. I think I came across that idea.
Thanks to a few friends who write substack and I made it on Twitter, I was able to raise $20k in the first month of 2023 to start the project. I hope to be able to announce it soon.
🍵 I own a tea company
Although I couldn’t invest as much as I wanted, I am proud to be an investor in Nepal Tea Collective. Those who know me, know well that I love my tea, and what better to invest in than our own country’s finest tea?

They are making investments on a rolling basis and if you want to invest, feel free to.
🧠 Thoughts
I think the economy is gonna get better and hence help my portfolio. The startup is gonna be tough as I have never been in a company with more than one round of investment, it’s gonna be new - and I am glad that I have a mentor.
How does a person in Nepal go about investing in the Nepalteacollective?
Love reading your updates!
